Pierce Country Day School's History and Standards
The Pierce Country Day School was established in 1943 by Forrester Pierce Sr. Nearly three quarters of a century later the school remains under the proud ownership and guidance of third and fourth generation Pierce family members.
Since its inception, Pierce has been completely dedicated to the enrichment of children. A central goal was to offer the absolute highest caliber educational experience to our students in a world class facility offered by a superb teaching staff. Towards this end our family continues to strive!
The following state and local agencies also license and review our facilities and staff on an annual basis:
- Nassau County Department of Health
- NY State and Nassau County Fire Departments
- Nassau County Fire Marshal
- New York State Department of Transportation
The Pierce Country Day School maintains compliance with all of the standards set forth by these regulatory departments/agencies, and strictly adheres to its own set of high standards.
As a founding member of the Long Island Association of Private Schools and Day Camps, the Pierce family's commitment to leadership and excellence is always a top priority.
